“Fantastic read! Written with a style that is easy while, at the same time, gives a nod to authenticity of the era and the youngsters we thought would remain children forever. Joyce develops these old childhood friends into men of real character, and heart…and soul. Loved it and can’t wait for more from this author!” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

“At first glance I thought that anyone who thought they could tackle the sequel to Mark Twain’s masterpiece must reside in a mental institution. Wrong, I was. Mr. Joyce has taken a slice of American History and expanded upon it in a most interesting fashion. By calling up the ghosts of Louis L’Amour & the early works of Elmore Leonard, Huck & Tom grippingly move through the Civil War era & beyond, carrying the enraptured reader along with them. Now I’m waiting for this author’s sequel.” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

“If I were to take on a project such as this, I would first want to consult a psychologist to have myself tested for sanity. To think, a renowned and time-tested series such as the “Tom Sawyer” books could be expanded, would lead me to believe I had lost all my marbles. But what I think has happened with Redemption, is Andrew Joyce has successfully channeled the spirit of Mark Twain into the twentieth-century. Through page after page, I read with amazement on how this could not be considered a companion to the Twain’s 1876 and 1884’s respective works. In a nutshell, they work together as a trilogy to complete the saga, from the imagination of two tremendous writers. Well done Mr. Joyce! —The Magnolia Review ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

” . . . a very captivating plot. Very hard to put down and very easy to put myself into the characters and their exploits. I am glad that I chose this one . . .” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Mr. Joyce has written a very compelling tale that Is an easy read. My attention was held from beginning to end. His characters reveal their humanity with ease and believability. I highly recommend this book for a wide variety of ages—everyone can take something good away from their time spent immersed with his captivating characters. As with any great book, it’s a shame it had to end.” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Excellent novel to read for joy, fun, and history learning. Andrew Joyce really started a new chapter in historical fiction. It is obvious that he spent days, months, and even years in studying history, dates, events, characters, and languages of the time period where the action takes place. Not only is it accurate, it’s also a very good read. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

“I was mostly on the edge of my seat – the action doesn’t stop, but there is so much wit, love, and just plain fabulous life in this story, I loved it all the way through. Andrew Joyce is the real deal, and an awesome storyteller in his own right, right up there with Mr. Twain.” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

“This book grabs your interest and doesn’t let it go. I got so caught up in the story that I didn’t want to stop till I finished it.” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Andrew Joyce’s newest book Resolution is like a Snickers-it really satisfies. This latest was hit right out of the park. Molly and Huck have become my new best friends. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

“Another fantastic gem from Andrew Joyce and I highly recommend it, especially if you love historical fiction! Not since reading Jane M. Auel have I been so connected to a historical fiction character as I did with Yellow Hair. He’s the vehicle Joyce uses to show the reader the real American history and I got to experience everything Yellow Hair witnessed.”—All Things Books ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This is a well-researched, documented, and vividly depicted story by author Andrew Joyce that everyone needs to read to understand that what these people went through in the 19th century is still happening right now.—MJ Magazine ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I found Yellow Hair to be an immensely readable epic. The meticulous and in-depth research that went into the book–from studying the Lakota language to incorporating real people, incidents, and events–illuminates every page and conveys the powerful sense that this is the real history of the West. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I think this is Andrew Joyce’s masterpiece. Not only would I give it five stars, but I would also recommend it without hesitation to readers looking for an epic story that is actually the real history.—Barb Taub, Writing & Coffee

“Bedtime Stories…” is a series of short stories with each grabbing the reader and making you flip pages. If you like old-fashioned storytellers, you will enjoy Andrew Joyce as I do. There is nothing arrogant about his writing or his stories. They are down to earth, and you know he lived them.” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

“A ‘can’t put it down’ collection of stories. I was drawn into each one. The diversity of subjects makes this book a terrific read for everyone. Very well written!” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

“Despite the varying classes of tales within, one aspect of this book stands out clearly—and that is Andrew Joyce’s gift of writing. Style is a consistent factor, truth is also there, and imagination permeates the entire collection. Read them slowly and enjoy.—San Francisco Review of Books ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

The description of his sailing made me feel as though I was reliving my sailing days. The shenanigans Ellis would pull throughout his career makes this book hard to put down. The stories he hints at, yet are left untold, piqued my curiosity and left me wishing for more. I thoroughly enjoyed this biography of a man I would love to meet. Thank you, Andrew Joyce, for giving us this wonderful read! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

In true Joyce’s style of storytelling, he leads us from a young man’s dreams to the adult fulling his aspiration. Ellis is truly a rugged man and his adventures are given life by Joyce. If you are a fan … or not … of Joyce’s writing, read this one. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

“Ellis,” is the character study of a man motivated by an inner determination to succeed which follows him throughout all the stages of his life. Descended from tough Gloucester fishermen, Ellis is constantly evolving and changing which I found to be part of his allure.

Andrew Joyce follows the path of Ellis’ life journey in three acts, incorporating a rich historical perspective which serves to set the scene for each new location.”
